Texas Pastor Bans WEAVES from his Church!

NO WEAVES

Folks hear me and hear me very well.I have nothing against artificial hair rather synthetic hair and I have no problem with women wearing hair weaves. However I do have a problem with people who have a mentality of thinking that natural hair is a fad. Anyway lately there's been a  hot controversial topic roaming around on social media and american news about a Pastor who banned weaves from his church, meaning that women from his church are no longer allowed to come to church if they have weaves on. So You may be wondering why I had to blog about such a topic and something that is not even happening around our territory but in a way I had to since my blog is related to hair and this topic got me flabbergasted, isn't it?

Co founder of Waco Resurrecting Faith, Pastor J.A Aamir 39 years of age made controversy recently in Texas,Waco www.hiphopwired.com Apparently Pastor Aamir felt that he had to ban weaves from his congregation because of certain reasons like women who are struggling to pay their bills but manage to get weaves that cost $300 to $900 and when converting that to South African rands it really costs a lot Yoh and this saga really made a lot of black woman angry and furious as well. His words were: ''Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they not. Be real with yourself is all I'm saying. Long hair don't care. What kind of mess is that? I don't want my members so focused on what's on their heads and not in their heads.'' he spoke on AmericanPreachers.com

Folks this really got me thinking, Why would a pastor do that to his people and anyway is it about preaching the gospel or telling people what to do and not what to do Mhmm do you think he has some kind of level of intelligence LOL what are your views on this topic? You Can leave your comments, so keen to know what you think.

  1. their is nothing worry on wearing weave, i dont get it why the pastor will bans women who wear weave to church. the church is the house of the Lord and everyone must feel safe and welcome, God dont want people's heads but He want people who worship Him with truth and love. the only thiing that matters in the God is your heart and you cloths or other thing so what the pastor did was wrong.

  2. Honey I definitely agree with you, weaves have nothing to do with Christianity rather Religion. People go to church to know and seek God. Personally I think the Pastor judged his fellow members and anyway what really happens in peoples lives has nothing to do with him.

  6. There is nothing wrong with weaves and me having a weave does not in anyway distract me from the gospel. I think the Pastor is misusing his position.

  7. weaves are no problem at all, but the problem arises when one looses their natural sense of being and is defined by the "plasticity" that comes attached to the change of personality

  8. I disagree with the pastor,it doesnt mean when i have a weave on im changing who i am but do i agree on the fact that whats the point of having an expensive weave but you cant pay for your bills, that is simply foolishness.

  9. I think weaves are a reflection of how we dont vaue our wn natural beauty. You dont see white or indian people walking around with afro textured weaves on their heads. Whe they do wear afro's itss in brightly coloured wigs ie as clowns or for dress up during halloween or fancy dress parties.

However, I dont think that wearing a weave will distract someone from the gospel, this is cleearly just the pastors own preference and those that dont like it are free to leave the church and join another.

  10. I all honesty what needs to be understood is that fact that we all humans yes, but we are different and long for different things. For an individual,of any power, has no right to banish what is to hence one's self or even that which gratifys them.
